Abstract:
One Day Cricket also known as limited overs cricket and in a slightly different context as list a cricket, is a version of sports of cricket in which a match is generally completed in on day, whereas test and first class matches can take up to five day to complete. The present study entitled, “An Analytical Study of Performance of Indian Bowlers in One Day International Cricket” was initiated with the two main objectives in mind. 1) To find out the performance of Indian fast bowlers in the one day international matches, 2) To find out the performance of Indian Spin bowlers in the one day international matches. To conduct the study survey method was adopted as a methodology. The data was collected from different website and other sources like books and journals. The profile and performance of each bowler was collected from the website. Bowling average of Indian Bowler collected for each year and each country where the Indian team played its matches. Conclusion: After analyzing interpreting data related to the performance of Indian bowlers It is conclude that, Fast bowlers dominated the performance in the year 1974,1975,1978,1979,1980,1981,1982,1983. Whereas Spin bowlers dominated the performance in the year 1976.
