Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to assess the Facilities of Physical Education and Sports provided by the schools of Sandeshkhali - I Block in North 24 Parganas District of West Bengal. The nature of the present study was a survey based on a standardized questionnaire. The degree of differences in infrastructure and facilities among the school obtained from the questionnaire are critically analysed on percentage basis. The findings are described as highest number of equipment available from a school is considered as 100% and on that basic analysed accordingly. After the survey by the researcher it was found that all school have the few facilities of sports. There were no physical education student of class XI and XII in Sandeshkhali – I Block area.On the basis of result and discussion it may be concluded that Physical Education and Sports Facilities of Schools at Sandeshkhali - I Block in North 24 Parganas District of West Bengal were poor due to insufficient facilities.
